INVICTA Supporting Commonwealth Athletes

The Commonwealth Games 2022 has kicked off today in Birmingham with hundreds of talented athletes across multiple disciplines taking centre stage. In recent times, Invicta have been privileged enough to work with some of those athletes representing England through our work with the England 7s programme. We were fortunate enough to assist with the prep for the ‘Commies’ in two camps supporting the medical department on the front lines for both the men’s and women’s teams. Invicta provided assessment, treatment and pitch side trauma care for athletes actively involved in training and competition.

Reflecting on the camps, we can certify the hard work and dedication these athletes put into their craft. Living on site for the duration of the camp under an intense schedule of double training days, gym sessions and self led recovery. This unrelenting routine in the pursuit of success is no small feat, testament to the athletes involved. The athletes themselves are some of the best we have had the opportunity to work with; humble, diligent and bound with a strong sense of purpose – winning medals! Alongside this, the medical, performance and coaching staff do their upmost to deliver a gold standard programme on limited resources in a busy schedule on the road, travelling internationally to tournaments and camps away from their families.

Invicta would like to wish the England 7s teams every success at the coming games as they kick off with their first round matches today! Come on England!
